LESCO New Connection
LESCO has made new meter connections more transparent and largely online. For domestic, commercial, or industrial loads in Lahore and surrounding areas, you can submit an application through the official ENC (Electricity New Connection) portal, receive your Demand Notice, and track status from submission to installation.
Documents Required for a New LESCO Connection
Have clear scans (per file-size limits on ENC) of:
- CNIC (applicant/owner).
- Proof of ownership or tenancy (registry/FARD/lease/allotment letter, etc.).
- Undertaking/affidavit that no arrears/previous connection dues are pending at the premises (as required).
- Wiring contractor test report (after demand notice stage).
- (Commonly requested) Neighbor’s bill copy and, for some categories, attested CNIC of witnesses. Requirements can vary by case/category; follow the ENC checklist shown during the online form.
How to Apply for a LESCO New Meter Connection
- Start the application on the official ENC portal and select LESCO. Create/verify your profile and pick the load category.
- Fill the form and upload the required documents.
- Submit online; you’ll get an application receipt/seniority number.
- Site feasibility visit is scheduled by the concerned office.
- Demand Notice (DN) is generated; download/print it.
- Pay the DN at the designated bank or via supported online channels and keep the receipt.
- Submit wiring test report (per instructions) for verification.
- SCO (Service Connection Order) is issued; store dispatches meter/material to the field office.
- Meter installation is completed at your premises.
LESCO Demand Notice & Tracking
- The Demand Notice includes connection and meter-related charges; payment is mandatory before installation proceeds.
- Track your application on the ENC portal using your tracking ID to see each step (received, DN issued, payment verified, SCO issued, installation).
New Electricity Connection Fee & Meter Price (Pakistan)
Charges depend on connection type and sanctioned load (domestic/commercial/industrial). Your Demand Notice is the authoritative breakdown (security deposit, service charges, meter cost, etc.). Always rely on the DN for the latest figure.
Estimated Time for a New LESCO Connection
Typical DISCO timelines (can vary with site conditions/verification):
- Category 1 — up to 15 kW: ~30 days total.
- Category 2 — 16–70 kW (400 V): up to ~44 days.
- Category 3 — 71–500 kW (400 V): up to ~73 days.
These include application receipt, site visit, cost estimation, DN issuance, payment verification, wiring test, SCO, store issuance, and final installation.
Recent guidance also notes that, after DN payment and document verification, installation often completes in ~5–15 working days (location/load dependent).
LESCO Bill Registration After New Connection
After your meter is live, your first bill will carry a Reference Number / Customer ID. Keep it for:
- Online bill checks and downloads.
- SMS alert registration for due dates/payment confirmations.
